Want to help bring the vibrancy and festivity of Asian culture to Cornwall? One of these positions could have your name written on it!
We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic team players with a passion for Asian culture to join our committee. Students in any academic year (including freshers joining us in September) are welcome to put themselves forward.
The following positions are open (NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED):
Treasurer: The Treasurers role is to manage the society's account and finances for the year. They are responsible for ensuring that the society has sufficient funding by staying on top of income and expenditure.
General Secretary: The General Secretary manages the administrative side of the society. Their responsibilities include: planning, agenda setting, and managing correspondence with the University, SU, venues, and local businesses.
Events Coordinator: The Events Coordinator is responsible for the planning and running of society events. This includes brainstorming ideas for potential events, researching venues, arranging activities --and most importantly managing and overseeing events in real time.
Cultural Officer: In our efforts to integrate the Asian experience into student culture here in Cornwall, we are introducing a new role to the committee: Cultural Officer. This individual will be responsible for facilitating a safe space for Asian students. The Cultural Officer will work to promote the day-to-day interests of Asian students and enhance Asian representation on Campus

Announcing the launch of the Falmouth & Exeter Asian Society Padlet!
As a growing society, we believe that being feeling seen and heard is essential to the quality of our community's student experience.
For this reason, we emphasise the value of your engagement and suggestions. However, we have also come to recognise that approaching the society and committee directly can feel daunting for some.
Hence, we have launched the Falmouth & Exeter Asian Society Padlet. A safe space for you to submit your thoughts, ideas, and suggestions to Asian Society anonymously.
Click the Padlet icon (between the Home and Facebook icons) to get posting!
